Consider the City's offer of providing and maintaining a 100 watt high-pressure sodium light for you. It can be mounted on any city-owned pole for only $4.00 per month. There is an additional charge if a pole must be added.

Do you ever worry that lightning will damage your equipment? It can, even though the city makes a real effort to prevent its. You can help too, by using surge suppressors ahead of the susceptible equipment. And you can add to your surge protection if you wish. The city can install a surge suppressor in your meter base to add protection for your whole house. This comes with insurance from the manufacture should something be damaged by a surge.

I Want Green Power Too!

No, the electricity is not really green. It simply means that it was generated from environmentally friendly sources such as the sun, wind, etc.

Burley has managed to purchase some of this Green power from the Bonneville Power Administration. We believe this will help to keep our air and water cleaner. This energy comes from wind and small hydro installations.

If you want to do your part too, and wish to help protect our environment, you can contribute $1.00 per kilowatt-hour per month to help offset the additional cost of this power. Call us for more details, 878-2256.
